The Protector

If you always put others first, discover why and find balance.

The Protector is a concept from Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy describing the parts of us that shield the psyche from pain — through people-pleasing, control, deflection, or over-functioning. Understanding your protector parts is a key step toward accessing deeper emotional healing and more authentic relationships.
